CV Writing Workshop

The CV Writing Workshop on 22nd April was a great success with all Year 10 and Year 12 students taking part.

Thank you to EBP (Enterprise Business Partnership) Victoria Hanford, Georgina Curtis-Read and Business volunteers Nigel Moulton from Cotswold Fayre and Alison Stanton from AM Couriers.

By taking this CV Writing Masterclass, students discovered the key tips, tricks and secrets for writing a winning CV, revealing what employers are looking for, and giving students the first steps they need to find and secure the job they want. This supports students to feel confident about entering the world of work and how to demonstrate and showcase their skills, interests and experience to create an impactful CV.

Work Experience week – Monday 15th – Friday 19th July for ALL Year 10 and Year 12

A huge thank you to all of you for supporting your sons and daughters with finding placements. Please continue to source places - I am also looking but anyone with a business or contacts willing to support our young people please do get in touch.

Unifrog

For those Year 10s who have forgotten their password for Unifrog, I have reset the password. Please log on to Unifrog and complete the details of his placement.

Go to the sign in page www.unifrog.org/ sign-in, type in your school email address and the password is Parkhouse24. It's from there that they’ll then be able to create their own unique password.

Then they complete the information about his work placement and it will automatically email the company.

Alumni Update

A warm welcome was given to Will (2023) who came in to talk to our Year 12 about his successful Degree Apprenticeship at BP and the process he went through. His confident but honest and open approach was inspiring to our young people who are now making plans for their next steps to university or world of work. This amazing apprenticeship he secured gives him job security, a pay of over £20k and no debt!

Calling All Parents

If you are able to provide support for apprenticeships in your business, or work experience, mock interview practices please do get in contact with me as I want to work with local businesses and help bring the world of work into our school. Thank you for your support.
