On Monday 15th January we had the pleasure of welcoming the renowned children’s and science fiction author Steve Cole to our school. Steve was also in charge of BBC Worldwide’s merchandising of the BBC Television series Doctor Who between 1997 and 1999 and as executive producer on the Big Finish Productions range of Doctor Who audio dramas.

Students had the opportunity to listen to Steve on stage give a fantastic performance in the weird and crazy facts about ‘’space’’, extracts and ideas taken from his collaboration with Tim Peake on the Swarm Rising and Swarm Enemy books. There was also facts and thrills extracts taken from the Young Bond series of Spies and Gadgets!

Steve then finished off the day with book signings and photographs in the library, it was a fantastic day all round!
