House Competitions – Off to a Great Start!

The house events this term are well underway, with plenty of excitement and participation from students across all year groups. It's been fantastic to see the enthusiasm and competitive spirit alive and kicking. So far, we've had two major events: the House Language Challenge and House Spelling Bee. Here's a quick look at how things have unfolded:

House Language Challenge

The first event of the term was the highly competitive House Language Challenge. Each house worked together to solve a series of language-related puzzles, testing both their linguistic knowledge and their teamwork. It was fantastic to see the enthusiasm and collaboration as students supported each other to crack the codes. This was all alongside greeting staff members in different languages in an effort to collect signatures and earn house points. Joseph House came out on top, earning an impressive 437 house points in total, followed closely by Chaffey with 338 points and Croft with 266 points. Albert House also put in a great effort with 161 points.

The challenge not only reinforced the importance of language skills but also allowed students to showcase their problem-solving abilities in a fun and interactive way. A huge well done to all who participated!

House Spelling Bee

The House Spelling Bee has come to an exciting close, with students from all houses showing impressive spelling skills and teamwork. After some intense competition, we are thrilled to announce the final results!

Chaffey House took the top spot, earning first place with a fantastic display of spelling prowess. Joseph House followed closely in second place, showing determination and resilience throughout the event. Albert House secured third place, putting up a solid performance, while Croft House gave it their all but finished in fourth place.

The atmosphere in the room was electric as students from all year groups competed to represent their houses. Each participant demonstrated hard work and dedication, making this year’s Spelling Bee a great success. A special thank you goes out to everyone who supported and participated in the event.

Well done to all, and congratulations to Chaffey for claiming the Spelling Bee title this year!
